I added 2 vehicles and drove around, trying to get the devices to connect to anything. Closed the app, when I opened it again only 1 of my vehicles (the 2nd one added) was still there. I have not yet tried re-adding the vehicle again to see if it gets retained.

Clicking on the vehicles, the Bluetooth icon is greyed out. I tried looking in my iPhone in each vehicle to see if I could detect any other BT devices but nothing appeared.

Because there’s no LED or any indicator on the device itself, I’m not sure if it’s powering on or not.

Today’s update fixed the car entry problem. After the update my car showed up in Cargenta with no action from my part. Hooray. The app is getting data from the device, though the device lost contact with the Internet after 30 minutes of driving and never restored contact. But that is a device issue.

Yeah, same here. I revisited the app and the second device magically appeared again without my doing anything.

The device started getting data eventually, but the original instructions really are unclear about, “initial use may take longer to get data.”

Today’s experience better. The Cargenta got on the Internet at 1:01pm and showed all activity for the day. It is still on the Internet but aside from Status I can’t pull up any info. The app states that the Brain is active, as opposed to off-line or asleep.

I would like to know more technical details at this point. Does the Brain talk directly to the app or does it store the data on a server and the app pulls it down from there?

I’m pretty sure until they enable Bluetooth in the app it’s going via cell connection to a server, then your app is reading from the server.
