How to manually troubleshoot via Bluetooth

Connecting to Cargenta Brain via Bluetooth is only possible for Android devices.

Unfortunately, Apple restricts Bluetooth classic on their iOS devices so you must use an android phone/tablet.

Instructions #

  1. Tap on the vehicle in the Cargenta app, then select Bluetooth
  2. Select: 2. Enable Bluetooth (if disabled)
  3. Press the Find Your Cargenta Brain button.
  4. Once the available devices show up, you need to select the “Cargenta” one.
    Do not select Cargenta_LE.
  5. The default pairing pin code is 7788.
  6. Once successfully paired, you should see the Bluetooth menu with several tabs – Connected, Device, Vehicle, Config.
  7. Select Config tab from the bottom menu
  8. Then from the top right side select Issue Report
  9. You can select any of the issue options from the dropdown menu depending on the problem you are facing
  10. Press the Green Button labeled Record Extended Log
    Note: Skip this step if you Cargenta Support haven’t requested you to send Extended Log!
  11. The device will first fetch the regular logs. Then 90-second timer will start on the screen during which the device will fetch additional device data.
    Note: Skip this step if you Cargenta Support haven’t requested you to send Extended Log!
  12. Once ready press the Send button.
